This one needed time. Dark reddish-purple color -- a bit dark for the varietal. Uncharacteristic black currant flavors behind a black cherry nose. Tight, even after sitting in the decanter. Tough to judge how this will evolve, but I just didn't get the sense that the tannins were letting the fruit show. Some mineral elements come on in the finish, which should have been longer. Not a feminine example. Don't know the retail -- received as a gift. 13.9% alc. FWIW, WS 89.

I'm just now polishing off the 95s. You're right, they need time.
