- wondersofwine - 05-11-2009 I believe this was Magnien, not Mugnien. From Burgundy Wine Company. 13% alcohol. Purple color with crimson edges; nearly opaque. Initially I found this lacking in appeal compared to the Drouhin Chambolle-Musigny from the same vintage. However, this improved over a couple days corked and refrigerated. Exhibits a certain red-fruit juiciness and a smooth finish. Worth repurchasing for now or mid-term cellaring. [This message has been edited by wondersofwine (edited 05-11-2009).] |
