Decanted 30 minutes before 1st pour, and left there through evening. Color a dark garnet with some purple flashes. Red plums and black cherry on entry, with cinnamon and clove notes late. Long, somewhat spicy finish. Aromas of red fruits, but also quite floral (I'm bad with floral, but I'm thinking rose or violet). 14.1% alc. Anne got it in an auction, but it should run about $45. Nice wine, and the only small fault, if I felt compelled to look for one, was that it could have come in under 14% alc and probably lost the faintly prickly heat on the finish.
