Pommard, Cote d'Or. SOme research indicated that this is the largest undivided estate lect in Burgundy. This was our evening wine on our 10th anniversary.

Decanted 30 minutes before 1st pour. Garnet in color, with purple flashes. Nose of black cherry and blackberry, with the flavors being similar, but with a bit of spiciness. Heavier than I was expecting, it still had some tannic structure that could've used a few more years of cellaring to work out. A long finish included clove and cinnamon. Not an amazing standout at $58, but we did drink it younger than we should've. 13% alc. Also, not that it matters, but the bottle is absolutely gorgeous with an old-school label. I may keep it around for the looks and to remember the evening.
