1st bottling of the designation. Touted as the top wine in the portfolio along with the Octogon, the juice delivers. Brite medium ruby. More spice on the nose than other pinots of Toms. Deep red and black fruits, a saddle-leather note and smokey, almost exotic raspberry-blackbery highlites. All come over on the palate as this extremely focused pinot hits all the right notes. Solid entry, heavyweight center and a keen 4&1/2 lapper finish. A solid 92/90. 45 on futures.14.8% alc. WW
