Was told the grapes are from the Roederer estate. 13.7% alcohol Paid $19.99 for the bottle (normally $24.99)
Color: translucent light purple-red
Nose: dark fruit, clove, wood
Taste: sour cherries, light cedar
Lingering finish, somewhat acidic
Enjoyable with Gouda cheese but I didn't find it to be layered or especially complex; more a one-note wine. Still I would rate it good to very good. I found a stylistic similarity between the Greenwood Ridge Zinfandel and Greenwood Ridge Pinot Noir which I drank in succession.

Think if you were lucky, the Greenwood Ridge Zin was made from the outstanding grapes from the Scherrer Vineyard in RRV. WW
