RR Valley fruit. I'm not pickin 'em good. Help Dananne. Translucent hazy light ruby. Light strawberry/cherry flavors with no complexity. Short finish. Kool-aid style. Not recommended. 13.5%Alc/vol. $15.

High price to pay for that description.

Gee, help from me? With my hit or miss luck, maybe we both should ask wondersofwine for help. I watch her PN TNs like a hawk.

The best PNs I've had this year around the price point of the ones you've posted on this weekend would be the K2 that I posted on recently and the Queen of Hearts (Cali, Santa Cruz). Usually I can find Steele and Benton Lane down at that price point, too. Otherwise, for every one that I find that is decent, I get killed on two. Also, the drinkable ones usually are pretty one-dimensional, like the two you've reviewed.

Oh, I just reviewed my TNs, and I had a nice Patricia Green for $15 -- but it was on sale, so I suppose that'd be cheating

Now, above that price point I've had a few nice ones this summer, but again, I've had bad choices, too.

Don't feel too bad guys. Pinot Noir is an ornery sucker. Even the best producers don't do it every year.

The problem with wine is that you have to spend your money to find out for yourself...
