Brian was at MoCool with some of his still be bottled wines. I don't have my notes with me so will post later in the week. I think everybody was pretty impressed with the wines. One I tried was around 15% alcohol but seemed more like 13.5% with all the fruit.

Looking forward to the details, which of course, the devil is in.

Have to get a box or two of his 2000's. He makes some really great juice!

Went to look at my notes and they are very sketchy. Guess I had sampled too many wines that day. We had 2002 barrel samples of Loring wines from the following vineyards:
Gary's, Rosella's, Clos Pepe, and Brousseau and possibly one more (Ontiveros?) My favorites were the Gary's Vineyard and Clos Pepe, but that could have been influenced by the names that were more familiar to me. Another wine lover whose views I respect was enthralled with the Brousseau offering. All were tasty. Good luck finding the wines in other parts of the country but I encourage you to sample them if you have the chance.

Picked up a few of his 01s at Hi-Time. Uncommonly deep-fruited stuff for the fickle pinot grape. Needs some whiskers, IMHO. WW Also got some Sea Smoke. They were so short they didn't open a tasting bottle so no idea if the stuff is as snooper as the press. ww
