Toms' top bottling this wine holds up the standard. This has to be one of the top 3-5 Pinots from this uneven vintage. Brilliant ruby, the nose is redolent of violets, strawberries, red fruits, cinnamon and other sweet spices like allspice. The palate also shows the above along with cherry-pie and vanilla. The entry is silky, mid-weight center and a killer 4&1/2 lapper finish. Maybe enough soft tannins to improve another 1-2 but with the structure to last another 8-10. Real good juice. 92/90. 45 on futures. 14.5% alc. WW

Had this for lunch today with an omelette of onions, mushrooms, and asparagus. Has made the evolution from potential to "there". Solid citizen that knowa its' heritage and sticks its' attributes dead in your face. Deep ruby, more terrior on the nose than earlier, and a plethora of Penzys' to chose from. Silky entry, weighty center, and a lovely 4 lapper finish. No change in scoring (but close). WW
