Another of our porch gathering wines from the weekend. Decanted during drinking, but poured immediately. Garnet-to-purple in color. Seems like a typical cherry/plum flavor profile, but there is a smokiness that dominates the nose, and it returns in the flavors on the finish. Interesting, and not bad, but not a special wine for my tastes. 13.5% alc. It was a gift, so I don't know the price.

Used to be much better and much less expensive.

Their Anderson Valley offering is about the same price point ($15-20ish), and has a lot more depth. Similar tart cherry fruit, with a better balance of acidity, spice and soft tannins.
