Santa Lucia Highlands. This 80 acre vineyard is planted specifically to Pinot Noir and is just feet away from some of the most famous Pinot Noir vineyards in California—Gary’s Vineyard, Sleepy Hollow Vineyard and Rosella’s Vineyard.
I found this wine to be elegant and fruit forward with very silky tannins. Very Victorian floral on the nose. Hints of cherry and spice (cinnamon, allspice) and showing a slight smokiness. The finish is moderately long with a slight steminess. A very enjoyable wine that I picked up several on sale at $17. 14.5% Alc/vol.
