Decanted, and I'd suggest doing it carefully and/or with a filter, as it's throwing a ton of sediment.

Deep color, bordering on the purple side of red. Deep nose of plum and smoke. Very tannic at this point, with the texture being not as lithe and silky as I like in Pinot. Dominant flavors of plum and black cherry, with some mocha and oak on the finish. If the tannins would calm down, and if there was a bit more zing to the acidity, I'd have enjoyed it more. Perhaps time will help. Markedly different in style than the Beaux Freres Les Cousins we had earlier in the evening (TN posted below). Alc. 14.9%. Paid $27 locally.

Hi D. I've been a Siduri fan for years. His wines do need some whiskers on 'em to have luster. The RRV should be given 5 IMHO. WW
