Decanted 30 minutes before pouring and throughout evening. Bright ruby red color, with a nose of black cherry and barnyard. This wine is all about texture, with a wonderful PN mouthfeel, pretty cherry fruits picking up a bit of cinnamon on the finish. If I have to quibble, it's that the 14.4% alc. shows up on the finish after warming up a bit to serving temp, but that's where the flavors just hint at becoming more complex and varied, and I'm also sure the alc. is what helps lend this wine such a nice texture. Very nice wine, though. It's a notch behind their single-vineyard bottlings, however. Paid $32 locally at Whole Foods.
