And the hits jes' keep comin' folk! Where in the holy-Blue-Snakes are these killer winemakers no-body done heard of coming from. Deep ruby. Nose of deep black and high red fruits. A cross between a grand cru burgandy and a normal top-rank Calif Pinot. Supple, sensual entry, weighty center and a solid 4&1/2 lapper finish. Has enough silky tannins to improve for another 5-8.Reminiscant of the Sea Smoke 10. 93/92 43 by the box. Ordered a box on the spot. WW

Never seen or heard of these folks, but I'll keep my eyes peeled. Thanks for the notes!

I bought a bottle of this yesterday and opened it last night.I agree with your notes WWW.I just wanted to add how impressed I was with the balance of this wine from start to finish. This producer kicked my love for pinot noir up a notch or two.I ordered a case for pick up next week.

Really a superior bottling IMHO that challenges any thing including Sea Smoke and the Lorings from the area. WW ( Ordered another box meself and am having Suzie see if she can get one of the 20 boxes of Mags they bottled)

WW: according to their web site, which is www.wedellcellars.com, those mags still are available from the winery (at $125 per bottle), and they did indeed produce 20 six-pack cases of them. good luck.

Tankee Newsie. If my local pusher comes up short I'll contact the winery. WW

Had another for lunch yesterday with New Zealand Blue tip mussels in fat-free chicken stock laced with the aforementioned Pinot and a whiff of gsrlic and some Earth Balance margarine. Not much to add as this is a real mouthfull of Pinot-Joy. WW

- winoweenie - 09-18-2007

After giving uip on the Aussie cab opened another of these to finish off my grilles chicken for lunch. Still swinging from the heels. Lovely juice. No scoring change. WW

- winoweenie - 01-06-2008

Was time for another of these here dude-i-roonies. Still some mighty good drinking for the buck. No change in scoring. WW

- winoweenie - 02-07-2008

Another dead soldier. Hard to keep this sucker in stock. Solid bottling that may never see its' peak outta' my cellar. No change in scoring. WW
