For only the second time ever, Anne refused to finish a first glass of wine. "I don't have to drink this. Get me something else" was her command.

Dense, opaque purple/black color, with the denseness, body, and flavor profile of a Zin or Syrah. Wierd wine that is nothing like a Pinot, but is more like drinking fruity motor oil. We won't be looking for this again any time soon, that's for sure. I disliked it less than Anne, but half of the bottle was still poured down the drain. That can't be a good recommendation. 14.4% alc. Paid about $22. WS gave it a 90, which I would find more humorous if I hadn't just seen Suckling on Mondovino talking about rating his landlord's wines a 90.

Not their best bottling. The single vineyard choices are far better.
