I have tried Vireton and one of the pinot noirs from Archery Summit (Oregon) and was impressed. I receive mailings from them and they have a new program where they can ship to North Carolina consumers (previously not possible) through a deal with in-state distribution system. I don't think I will sign up for the two bottles every month or whatever, but may order six bottles of some of the specials offered. Opinions from any familiar with their pinot noirs?

Hi WOW. The Archery wines have been, IMHO,since the 96 models very good to outstanding
bottlings. Have the 97 and 98 models in the cellar. WW

Nice wines that are overpriced..........

Archery Summit makes good wines in the big fruit/lots of oak style. If that's what you like and you don't mind paying an arm and a leg (their single vineyard wines, Arcus, Red Hills, etc. are among the most expensive Oregon Pinots) go for it. If you're looking for value or Burgundian style balance and earthy complexity, look elsewhere.
