I have recently acquired a bottle of Chateau d' Yquem from 1943. How much might this be worth?

- Bucko - 01-16-2003

Virtually nothing if you can't prove how it has been stored. Secondly, 1943 was the best of the war-time vintages, so if storage was good, this is a very valuable bottle of wine somewhere in the $1400.00 range.

Bucko,
Interesting, I have a few collectables too. How do I prove how they were stored?

Basically you tell the auction house. If they are suspect, they will request to sample a bottle.
