light to mid-bodied, earth and fruit well integrate although there isn't much forward fruit. Mildy complex; this is a good representation of Merlot. Good midpalate but somewhat light on the finish. I rate this an 86. At $18, it's not a terrible purchase but depending on the mood, may want to spend my money elsewhere. Worth a try at least...
(more complex than many CA Merlots, but I tend to prefer something more full-bodied and over the top)

If you want a merlot that has a bit more body and longer finish get an Italian or french merlot, if you want something from CA, you just might have to drink a cabenet.

Think I'm going to like this Pickadley.

the hauts-conseillants is 70% merlot I believe. Do you have any suggestions for other bordeauxs or Italian merlots?
