Picked it up recently. It "appears" to be widely available....
Second wine of Cos d'Estournel. And this one is not bad to my amateur palate. Opaque, dark garnet in color. Nose of blackcurrent, dark fruit and some brighter fruit, pencil lead, on palate the same with a well controlled wood and a good amount of tannins, a bit of tobacco, good amount of acidity and finishing a bit hot right now.
After a few dense Syrah's this one was good to go back to. A bit unbalanced right now but okay for price of $38.00 (or on the net for $31.00). (though there are more interesting wines at this level).
