What wine goes with the traditional Christmas Dinner of Goose and all the trimmings? It is going to be patterned after the Dickens Christmas.

We have a Christmas tradition that goes back much further than our oft criticized zin with Thanksgiving. It is Asti Spumante with the goose. If that is not for you, try a sparkling shiraz from Australia, or a Crozes Hermitage or other Rhone.

Nancy, if your stuffing the goose with with a stuffing of earthy flavors...mushroom, wild rice etc. I would second the rec. of a Rhone or Chateauneuf-du-Pape.
