I just picked up a bottle of this ($16.95) and was wondering how good previous years have been. I know it's the "everyday" drinking wine of one of the most celebrated Bordeaux chateaus. I figured even if it's "bad" it has to be pretty good.

Welcome to the board.
I don't have any experience with this. I do know 2003 was a very hot summer throughout Europe and the grapes/wine may not be typical of other years. May be riper with less acid. Maybe someone else has tried the wine and will add their knowledge. If not, let us know what you think when you do try it.

Don't know about previous vintages, but here's something from the Brits who drink oceans of this type of wine.
