Nice wine for the dough here. Randy C., this would not be a wine you'd like as I think I'm starting to understand your palate preference. And frankly, this is more a "food wine" than a sipping wine. Make sense?

1996 Chateau Du Tertre; Margaux (BD, FR) - $21.59

Dark, rich color, medium full body, excellent limpidity. Nose full of black cherry, cedar, currant and forest floor also showing some tar and coffee. On the palate, nice up front with plenty of fruit but a bit light through the middle and on the finish. Finishes with some green bell pepper and has a slight green streak through it. The structure is excellent and I believe this wine will age well but will not be 20 year wine as the tannins are slightly green. Good to very good wine, could be very, very good in 5 to 7 years. Would I buy more? At this price, yes.
