This Cru Bourgeois wasn't ordered on my futures but was recomended by my buddy in San Diego. Lovely brite ruby. Nose of cassis, dark fruits, and earth with a dose of bakers cocoa thrown in. Soft and supple entry, medium center, and a solid 4+-lapper finish. The tannins are very soft but still needs another 2-4 to reach the top. Another new vineyard for me but it sure hits the mark. 90/90 even at the 19,99 first retail. Understand it was under 15 on 1st tranche. 1st time I've seen this on a Bordeaux label. Alc 11 to 14 %. The blend is 50% Merlot, 47% Cabernet Sauv, and 3% Cab Franc. WW

Sweet! Another wine available for cheap at my local shop. Now I know to grab it! Thanks,WW, you are pointing me to things on which I might not have felt comfortable taking a risk. Keep it comin'!

Had another of these yesterday for lunch. Nose has expanded with the fruit taking more sdpace and now a soft suede leather note entering. This is a great example of what happens to mundane properties during a great vintage. Have to take to a 91/93 at todays market. WW

I bought some of their '05's and it was also very nice. Needs some time to lose the fuzz.. :0
