Purchased from Waitrose...yes STILL in London....will get to go home soon I think. I keep saying that.

Deep dark purple, looks like a Zin! Nose is of sweet dark fruits, black berries, black cherries, some herbiness but not bad, and slightly smokey. While ripe, the texture is not too thick and has decent balance. Having said that, little in the way of complexity and it is surprisingly short (medium length). Decent but only so. Definitely Merlot lead but this wine does not appear to be one for the ages.

Hot year, 2003. Acidity probably dead.

I told you should have gone to the Waitrose
Kensington....they delivered all the best wines to Princess Diana!

Kensington, eh?..... We were married in that fair little burg back in '75.... last visited in '04. Still nice.

I am staying at Grosvenor House on Park Lane so I walked up to the one on Edgeware. I also walked into a Majestic today. Lots of good stuff but prices were pretty high too....most likely because of the taxes. But there are some strange things. Musar is selling for 18 GPB or about $27 USD. That is about half the cost in the US still. Not sure why. Also, some mags of 06 Lignier Morey Saint Denis that were 56 GPB that is not too bad. Still held off and only bought 2 1/4 bottle of Loosen's BA.
