I'm quite interested in this bottle my folks have had lying around since 1975... they refuse to open it, I actually wonder if the wine would be any good seeing they haven't taken any special attention to bottle temperature and such. It has always been on it's side and has been away from direct light... I am well aware that this is no Chateau Petrus, but then again the bottle is 25 years old! - Opinions?

Storage may have done the bottle in. The vintage year was good, not exceptional. The wine is unclassified. One thing is for certain -- it is not going to get any better. Time to pull the cork, and have a backup bottle.
