Walked thru Spec's in Houston yesterday and I picked up a bottle of this 5th growth. I know its too young, but it was a grab/go situation. This wine is a freakin' mammoth. Big in style, licorice, cassis, spice with notes of tobacco and dark chocolate. Tannic and rich in dark fruit, it lingers and is certainly in need of time to polish out the rough edges. This is why I love Bordeaux. I anticipate this guy will be lock, stock and loaded in 2015, when I turn 40 and get my steak allocation from my doctor! I may be a future customer of this particular Chateau depending on whether they let me in their gates in October when I visit Bordeaux.

When you reach the crisis point, stop, bust open your best bottle and enjoy. You'll forget about the Harley Davidson...
