Wow...still a monster.

Color is just starting to turn a bit brickish, but still now brickish rim. Nose of some old wood and an earthiness. On openning, very tight and very spicy, peppery, woody. Took about 4 hours to start showing anything, but then wine became much rounder and some dark fruit, spiciness and some earthiness and older wood. Still tannins at the end. Full flavor and medium long length. Better on the second day. Nice drink for $25.99.

Popped a second one tonight and it was markedly different. The only thing that was the same was that this too was still a monster.....big wine.

Very dark purple with a dense nose of blackfruit and pepper with some old wood still. Much more fruit on the mouth and just plain dense in flavors. Black fruit, cassis, pepper, and old wood with tannins receding. Nicely complex. I like this bottle more.
