- wondersofwine - 12-06-2004 I stopped at Enoteca Vin for two appetizers (a salad with warm Laura Chenel goat cheese, hazelnuts, pomegranate seeds and Banyuls vinaigrette) and a hedgehog mushroom and lemon risotto) and three wine tastings. Medium straw color. Clean, slightly crisp, pure Chardonnay (I think with no wood or malolactic fermentation). Flavor like a dainty green apple--would be great with many fish dishes or maybe chicken or pasta in white sauce such as Fettucine Alfredo. $6.00 for a 3 oz. pour, $9.75 for a glass amd $35 for a bottle at the restaurant. (other wines tasted under Loire wines and Pinot Noir threads) - Innkeeper - 12-06-2004 Sounds like me kind of Chard. - Thomas - 12-06-2004 I believe it was $12 retail last I saw it, and worth every nickel. |
