The Charles Shaw Chardonnay available from Trader Joes stores?
I had some for the first time last weekend, and I have to say it really was not bad! Certainly not the finest wine to pass my lips, but definitely not the worst! It would be great to have on hand for your next large party, or for when unexpected company drops by.
Curious to hear other comments on the Two Buck Chuck wines.

How does it stand on the oak spectrum? I can get lovely unwooded ones from Oz for six bucks more, and think it is well worth it.

IK.....At 2 bucks a clatter they can barely afford bottles. WW

Gosh, we bought a couple of mixed cases and pulled a few corks. Comments were: 'what are we drinking here', 'what is the wine?', 'boy, what is this? 'Not that bad! Point is, why do we want to trade down to this level...plently of boxes around that are far better! You can buy 500,000 liters of vat wine anywhere and do the same thing! Just look! So now, the gal who has been spending $5.99 a bottle is revolting in your store in seach of an inferior wine at $1.99. Boy, have you improved the selling climate!

ww, if there is wood in a $2 wine it got there through the teabag effect, not through barrel age. I suspect that is what IK meant--is it, IK?

Of course, and congrats on the 3K Foodie.
