I can see where Parker found 96 points for the first time in a Chard. Huge without being in any way oaky. Pricy at 40 but worth every penny. I have more and will be hoarding. My best Chard experience to date.

Sounds lovely.

I hadn't heard about this wine, nor about Parker's score for it. So is 96 the highest score he's ever given a Chardonnay, or just a New World Chard? I would have imagined that one or more of Peter Michael's Chards had made it that high.

He may have scored another higher. I only meant this was the first time I agreed with a 96 on a Chard. Newton has been around for quite a while.

Had another as an opener yesterday. Not quite up to the Leeuwin from Christmas Eve, but damn close. The last in the cellar and I am on a mission to find more. Still a solid 96.

Found one left last night and it was outstanding. Just picked up the 03 and 04 offerings. Up to $46 each, but for a special night this wine is well worth it!!
