Served with hors d'oeuvres (salmon bites, goat cheese mousse on crispy Parmesan wafers, etc.) I missed out on the hors d'oeuvres so asked the waitress if there were any of the goat cheese wafers left. she brought about nine of them of which I ate three (delish!) and shared the others with two more at my table.
Rich, flavorful Chardonnay without pronouced oakiness. Reminds me a bit of a Puligny-Montrachet. Also enjoyed the Overlook with a scallop with crusted top over cauliflower puree. I believe that was the dish with the mustard fruit--peach, cherry and other fruits pureed with Dijon mustard in smoked bacon vinaigrette. Yum!
