Color was a very pale gold. This wine was SO TIGHT, we decanted it to get more air into it and it did not help. When everyone left and I was with this bottle alone, (after decanting for about 5 hours), it started to recover....man this wine is going to last forever. Tonight, definitely too tight, too young....but when it opened up finally, it was a beautiful wine, still a bit austere but wonderful. And it changed so much from initiall which was green apple, pineapple, to then an austerity with minerality, and then opening up. Not opening another one for a LONG time. $150 per bottle.
