This was a gift wine, and it has been sitting in our cellar for some time, as we drink a white wine about as often as solar eclipses happen. We finally got around to opening it this weekend.

Gold color with a nose of pineapple. Green apple skins on the entry, and some buttery oak on the midpalate, but the finish isn't as oaky as I would expect it to be -- more tart green apples. I can't help but say it's just another nondescript white wine, but that may just be my inexperienced white wine palate talkin' -- or, perhaps, the age of the wine. 14.2% alc. Don't know the price.

Dan- question. I'm not fond of over-oaked chards at all. Was this more fruit than oak, or just plain spent? I really enjoy Tobin James Radiance Chardonnay, and get more fruit from that than oak. Have you had that before?
