- Thomas - 10-17-2004 I just relaized that tgis post could go into two areas: Chardonnay and East Coast. I guess when the categories were set up, the East Coast was viewed as a singular place... Anyway, this Chardonnay is right up IK's (and my) alley. Clean, snappy, minimal wood if any (a slight vnilla character) and a lot of maltiness, which always appeals to me in this variety. At $10, it is a steal. Paired well with veal Milanese and sage. Sorry: 12.5% alc--a FingerLakes wine. Lohr Riverstone and Toasted Head style, but not me. Just had one that's a tad different, but still not much oak - 99 Miner NV. - californiagirl - 10-17-2004 Sounds like a chardonnay I would like to. Can't stand the over oaked types. Reminds me too much of wine coolers. Yuck. |
