2002 Tobin James, James Gang Reserve, Monterey County, Chardonnay ($25 if you don't belong to the club). It came with the Spring Shipment of $110 including shipping for eight wines costing well over $200. It weighs in at $14.2% alcohol. Despite the fact that the first sips made my upper lip quiver, things died down to nice when combined with the cream sauce in Haddock a la Creme. The grapes were rich enough to overcome all the other nonsence with the cream sauce. It gives you nice citrus on the nose and upfront, with creamy vanilla across the palate. The finish in fine. Would not go out and buy one, but is just fine when recieved this way. Am sure the WW's CB loved it.

They didn't ship my new shipment to the house so it's langoring over in Santa Fe Springs Ca at my buddies warehouse. CB makes no distinction or ratings as long as its cold and white.WW

And you can tell from the miscues in wording that the 14.2% alky was felt.

Popped the '03 that came in the '05 Spring Shipment for Father's Day dinner last night. The alcohol was a little higher at 14.5%, but the price was the same as it was last year. It was difficult to determine the difference in the vintages. Just about identical. Very nice with a chicken casserole daughter made with rice, carrots, and rolls. Hope all you fathers had a nice day too.
