Received this as a gift from my brother-in-law. It being a bit beyond my normal-buy-on-Sunday, drink-on-Friday arena, just wondering what the advice would be on holding this? From what I've read, the 02 Napa CS are drinkable a little earlier than most, but I'd hate to squander this too soon.
Your thoughts, tasting notes, and impaired ramblings are most appreciated.
Cheers!

Need a scoch more info there am. What vineyard, district, do you have? WW

Stag's Leap Winery, 2002 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. No special designation, so must be their base wine.

The Napa is their base bottling but am sure I've reviewed it over the last year or so. If memory serves(which is the 2nd thing to go) it was a fine bottle that needed some time. WW

I'm not one to post a question without a little research . That said, I gave another look-see and still came up with only the following:
2001 Stags Leap Wine Cellars Artemis Napa- winoweenie
2002 Stag's Leap, Artemis Cab- WilECoyote
A note from GaD in June/06 that it was "not even close to ready".
A reference from winoweenie about picking some up at a store opening
A few posts on other wines from the SL AVA, but that's about it. I'll give a gander at some other boards to see what's been posted there....

Yer a mensch, but there's no need to do so on my account. Just drop your TNs here whenever you get around to this bottle in your regular rotation, and that'd be just fine.
