Parts of this menu could not have happened were it not for the kindness of some of the wine board members. Drew, IK and Verne helped me put this meal together.

Here is what we had for our family meal on Christmas day. (I cooked the entire meal.)

Christmas Day, December 25, 2003

Shrimp with cocktail sauce
Assorted cheeses, vegetables and crackers
Assorted Refreshments or Eggnog

Roast Free Range Australian Heart of Rib Eye encrusted with Horseradish, roast garlic & fresh bread crumbs
1996 or 1994 Gallo of Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon

Gravy Au Jus
Smashed Yukon Gold Potatoes with garlic
Smashed roasted Parsnips and Turnips with country bacon
Steamed Broccoli with Baby Carrots
Beet and Horseradish Relish
Spring Greens & Baby Spinach with Raspberry-Hazelnut Vinaigrette
Hot Italian Dinner Rolls
Butter

Cherry Garcia Ice Cream (Vanilla Ice cream with bits of chocolate and Bing Cherries)

Cognac, Armagnac or Coffee
