Drank this tonight with Mushroom Risotto...
Alexander Valley--- $33

Really elegant wine...
Nose is a bit brambly, but full and fruity with cherry and currant.
In the mouth it's really nice... almost silky.
Black Currants, cherry, cloves, vanilla, chocolate. Really complex, but also really downright pleasant...
Still plenty of unresolved tannins, but they're fine enough that it's good now. Probably better in a couple of years, though not as much aging needed as some of the big 2001's
This is a steal for the money.

Always one of the best sonoma P/Q offerings. Somehow this fine bottling hasn't found its' way into my cellar since the 97 version. Tankee fer the memory jolt.WW
