Opened a bottle tonight with a dinner of beef tenderloins, baked potatoes and corn on the cob -- corked.... grrrrr. Went out to the cellar and pulled my last bottle, voila! A good bottle. This wine has finally peaked and may even be sliding down the other side. Still dark and youthful appearing, the nose has a bit of funk, menthol, and black cherry. These aromas are also appreciated on the palate, along with cedar, a touch of cigar, and tannins that have finally resolved into something pleasurable to drink. If you have any left in the cellar, I recommend pulling a cork. It went well with the beef. :-)

I take it the wine in question is the 85? If your concentration don' improve we's gonna have to restrict your holidays. WW I think , or I should say IMHO,the whole 85 vintage needs drinkin'. I only have 1 bottle left.
