Classy wine!

Nose and palate of dark and red fruits, some coco, spices, and oak, Dense flavours but wears themlightly. Medium + bodied wine, very elegant. I could drink this all day long!

Have some 01 Monte Bello down in the cellar. May be about time to start cracking them.

KC, as you would know, the 06 was incredibly young and had many years to go. Would love to hear your impressions of the 01!

I had a ridge fan over for dinner so opened this one up.

Oh...what a stunning nose, full fo herbs, and bush and minerals and earth and then fruit and spices, ...with the mouth much the same but still tannic and structured, with a good acidic backbone.

This is a medium bodied, elegant but full on wine. Lovely stuff and still frankly a baby. Needed hours of decanting.
