Thanks Bern! I just got the Rutherford Hill, and will let you know how it was. By reading many of your posts, I can see that you guys are much more experienced in wine than me. And that is also one of the reasons that i figured you guys might be able to help me out in choosing a special bottle for a special occasion. I guess some people on this site thought that i was trying to impress or show off how much I spend on a bottle, that is not the case at all! I am hoping to get a little more knowledgeable on wines through this board. Thanks for all your help and thoughts!!

Deputy- Thanks for your support and understanding as well. I am looking forward to gaining valuable insight on cabs from this site and hope none of my posts will change anyones mind.

No problem. When you return to us and post some tasting notes on it, please include all the information you can, vintage, alc. percentage, etc. I hope you like it.

Hi SirO and let me please try to clarify What was intended in my post. We occassionally get new members that magnify their expertise and throw out names of wines like confetti hopeing this will solidify their standing as an astute wine person. What was said was because you made the same post under 2 different threads and there were answers already given to your query. That being said I'll again say we welcome you to the board. You can go back a year on this thread and find postings for lots of tasty juice. WW ( And by-the-by I know Tom Jordan and Charles Wagner (now deceased) and have consumed every vintage of both their wines since inception, The 76 Jordan was from Purchased grapes and his first estate bottling was 78 and Charles fist bottling was 1972 which was one of the best wines from that miserable vintage)

The David Arthur Cabernets from 2001 and 2002 could be had at this price point and both were fantastic but are admittedly hard to find. Todd Anderson does a great job at Conn Valley Vineyards and I would reccommend either the Estate Cab or the Eloge which is a primarily Cab Bordeaux Blend. Both are consistent and drink incredibly well independent of vintage and aren't overly hard to track down.

Good Luck.

Wow,

What a great early morning read. I did learn something. When I post tasting notes, include everything. I am getting there. Give me a few more years... ...or decades.
