Deep ruby. Nose of sweet red and plummy black fruits. Taste follows with cassis, cinnamon, cardamon, and vanilla. Coating entry, weighty center and a solid 4-lapper finish. No noticible tannins but the balance and depth of flavor deems this lovely has at least another 10-12 at peak. Beautifully made. 91/88. 40 by the box. 13.8% alc. WW

Found this poor lil' orphan and opened for lunch today. Seems the nose has expanded to include some nice tarry, leathery elements and just enough swet spices to add interest. The mouthfeel shows the keen aged stuff you look for in an old bottle. This has definately morphed into me version of "kick-patootie-juice'.Have to take this bubba up to a 92/3. WW
