Medium ruby. Nose of cassis, red fruits, vanilla and spices. Balanced, with all components showing on the palate. Soft entry, weighty center and a solid 4-lapper finish. Benchmark Calistoga bottling. 90/91 35 by the box.13.9% alc. WW

Opened another of these last nite. The nose is coming along swimmingly. Nice floral notes of lilac( darned near put orange blossoms as the air is heavy with them from my yard ). Slightly more depth in the fruit but not enough to change the scoring. Another 1-3 will be just the ticket for this lil'lovely. WW

Have you had any other years of this wine? I've never tasted the Calistoga Cuvee; your note is enticing me to do so.....

My guess is the weener goes through a case (or maybe more) of this just about every vintage.

KCs' dead stony rite. This is always a staple in my cellar. One of the really high P/Q products IMHO year-after. WW
