Some short notes from the beach. Throwing lots of sediment. Bark black Garnet with a big cedar nose that followed on the palate. Dark fruit and vanilla, still very tannic on the mid and finish. Very nice. 13.9%Alc.vol.
$21.

Did it take a chain-saw to get thru that Bark?WW

What did you eat with it, toasted toothpicks with sawdust sauce?

Verne, you're wearing off on me.

Popped my last bottle night a for last with Filet Mignon. Rich currant, cedar, touch of vanilla and brown sugar flavors. Still plenty of tannins and still throwing lots of sediment. Nice long, but hot, finish. Seems slightly out of wack at this stage of it's life. Tasty bottle but not my favorite vintage for this bottling.
