14.2% alcohol
100% Cabernet Sauvignon
Opaque, dark purple color. Shows viscosity--leggy on the sides of the glass.
Nose of black currant/cassis. Ripe black fruit on the mid-palate. Drying on the finish. Great potential. Might peak in 2-3 years. (I also have a Michal Scott Del Bondio Cabernet Sauvignon from the Bella Oaks Vineyard so will have to do a side-by-side comparison sometime.) The Del Bondios are now making their own wine after several generations of selling wine to others.
The Del Bondio Cabernet Sauvignon was one of my favorites at a tasting of Cal Cabs.
