- Bucko - 09-07-2000 HUGE, lush, lovely earthy black fruit is unfortunately overwhelmed by even more massive tannin. A potentially beautiful wine, it finishes harsh, with drying tannins that make your mouth a mini-Sahara. I just don't buy into the old adage that if it has enough fruit, it will outlast the tannins. Bucko - mrdutton - 09-07-2000 Bucko, did you let it breath for an hour or two and then try it again? - Bucko - 09-07-2000 It was even worse after four hours -- pure enamel-stripping tannins. Bucko - winoweenie - 09-07-2000 Bucko, Did you see ther post on the 92 in the cab Thread? Found the same, but with the experience I`ve had with Randy`s wines I`ll bet this sucker comes thru. Are you gonna miss the WW? winoweenie |
