- winoweenie - 07-24-2009 Have overlooked this hummer until lunch yesterday. Nice clear ruby. Nose highly perfumed with notes of vanilla. Good entry, solid center and a 3&1/2 lapper finish that shows this baby is sliding down hill. The fruit loses out to the oak after 1 hour in the glass. Not objectioable yet but doesn't bode well for the future. I'm putting this on the "drink now,not later" list. 89/89 35.14.5% alc. WW - winoweenie - 09-12-2009 Heeding my own advice I opened another for lunch yesterday. Not much change but did seem to have a little more structure than the previous bottles. Maybe bottle variation but no change in scoring. A pleasant enough drink. WW - winoweenie - 01-07-2011 Found another and opened after CBs' "Procedure" today. Either me tasties are dying, crusting, decaying, or have no relation to reality or this sucker be improving. Only 1 more left so will rely on the 1st 3 but who gives a rats in the big scheme? WW - TheEngineer - 01-10-2011 Always nice to know that there can be an upside though! |
