One of my favorite Sonoma producers. This ex Rock promoter has a beautiful estate and tasting room north of the town of Sonoma with really nice people. Deep ruby, almost opaque, with a nice nose of black fruits, plum, a tad of liquorice, some vanilla and spicy nuances. Soft lush entry, solid weighty mid-palate, and a 4-lapper finish. Needs maybe 1-3 more to resolve some tannins. A super effort as usual. 90/88. 39 by the box. WW

You sure about that price there for the '96 oh wise won? (that's short for WW). The bottle I posted on 12/26 I paid low twenties for a single bottle. And yes a very nice bottle.

Opened another of these last nite. Not too much change except the nose seemed more upfront. Will let this sucker rest now till 05. WW
