Even better than the standard bottle. Immediatley hit with the nice floral nose, violets, dried flowers, and blueberries. On the palate, a bit softer than the standard bottle but more lush, fully sense of dark and red fruits, nice structure and again very enjoyable.

Occassionally such as in 77, 78, and 85 this wine challenges the Marthas' as Heitz best. WW

WW, this was easily my favourite wine of the day amongst a bunch of heavy hitters. Very different than most wines and always wanted another glass.....glad it was a slow day in the tasting room.... (more notes to come, freemark abbey, pride, viader, etc...)

I'm a fan of the Del Bondio Bella Oaks Cab. Haven't had the opportunity to try the Heitz wines.
