Ken Dies, Floras' extremely talented and modest winemaker echoed Brian Lorings' comment when complimented on his prodigious talents said " An orangatang could make good wine with the fruit I have to select from". I don't subscribe to eithers comment. The Trilogy series have been consistantly one of the best Meritage bottlings out of Napa and this kick-fanny 95 is no exception. Deep ruby, extremely floral with violets, roses and carnations assaulting the schnozz. A blend of 39% Cabernet, 44% Merlot, and 17% Cab Franc. Ken changes the blend every vintage to optimize the flavor profile. This lil'hummer has a 4&1/2-lapper finish and is an absolute joy to drink. 93/90. 39.95 by the box.
